The Crasher Squirrel

Have you heard of the Crasher Squirrel??

A couple from Minnesota had set up their camera on a tripod so they could take a picture of themselves in front of Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park. This curious squirrel apparently became intrigued by the sounds of the focussing camera and came over to check it out. He popped up in front of the camera just in time to become the star attraction in the picture…

As you can see, the couple sort of faded into the background.

The couple submitted the photo to a National Geographic contest. The magazine posted it to an online gallery on August 7th, and in less than week, the Crasher Squirrel was been popping up all over the Internet. He’s hung out with the Star Trek crew:
